What I Really Learned in Med School

Welcome to my blog family & friends! I decided to start blogging to keep the people close to me informed about what I am up to. I'm not sure if I will have anything interesting to report in the midst of classes/studying, but I am giving it a shot. At this point, the combination of loans, visas, tuition fees, medical supplies, flights - and so much more that I didn't realise was part of this process - is somewhat overwhelming, but I am finally looking forward to take off in a mere 11 days. The common question I keep getting is if I'm nervous, but I can't say that I am just yet. Christmas activities and working full-time (plus overtime) have been welcome distractions. I anticipate that it will be hard to leave, but that is simply because I know I will miss certain people and I definitely don't think that is abnormal or unexpected. What I'm looking forward to the most is seeing the island itself, starting the Gross Anatomy course, and meeting some like-mi
