Shawn visits Louisiana

Had a great weekend while Shawn was visiting Louisiana!
We explored Houma and New Orleans and ate as much local and Cajun food as we could. Our favourite meal was at Coops Place in the French Quarter - a great little hole in the wall place that served delicious Jambalaya, Seafood Gumbo, Shrimp Creole, Cajun fried chicken, and an old Louisiana favourite - red beans and rice.
We did a swamp tour in the bayou to see some alligators, visited a plantation and the Acadian monument, and bar hopped along Bourbon Street.
I always love showing family and friends around my temporary homes and communities. I can't wait for our next visitors!
